The Association is co-founded and jointly led by a U.S. business and healthcare industry leader and a partner with direct, high-level government-relations experience and standing in Uzbekistan. This dual leadership structure is deliberate: it ensures the Association can operate credibly and effectively on both sides of the relationship from day one, rather than building government trust or industry credibility from scratch.

Governance will expand around this founding leadership to include an advisory board drawn from U.S. industry, Uzbek government and healthcare institutions, and international finance (IFC/DFC-adjacent expertise), with Founding Members holding board or advisory representation. The Association intends to formalize its relationship with relevant Uzbek government bodies — including the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Investment, and the Uzpharm Control Agency — through a memorandum of understanding or comparable instrument of government recognition and support.
